Upon completion of this module learners will be able to:
- Describe the digital instrumentation and control (I&C) systems used in SMRs;
- Apply principles of reactor diagnostics and remote monitoring for safe operation;
- Analyze cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies in SMR operations;
- Understand nuclear security, safeguards, and non-proliferation considerations specific to SMRs;
- Compare and contrast SMR operation and control with traditional large reactors.
