Description:
The Sterile Processing Technical Training program is a comprehensive, online, self-study course in central service and sterile processing, designed to prepare central service, operating room, infection control, and material management employees to succeed on the HSPA examination and become Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). This course includes a series of lessons with accompanying quizzes, videos and virtual training exercises. The course also includes a final exam that must be proctored by a proctor of your choosing.
The standard course fee of $440 (not including shipping) includes the HSPA 9th Edition Sterile Processing Technical Manual and one year of access to the online course materials. An additional six-month extension can be purchased if necessary.
The Sterile Processing Technical Manual Workbook is not included in the standard course fee by default. All content in the workbook is included in the online course materials. If desired, select the optional workbook fee during checkout and the manual and workbook will be sent in one shipment.
Optionally, the fee of $350 can be chosen if you already own the HSPA 9th Edition Sterile Processing Technical Manual. This book is required for the course, so only choose this option if you already have a copy of the book.
Refund Policy
A refund is available if requested within thirty (30) days. However if the online course is started no refund will be offered. The refund does not include the shipping and handling cost, and materials must be returned in new condition.
400 Hours
To obtain your HSPA certification, 400-hours of on-site training in Sterile Processing is required. Purdue University is unable to directly help with this hands-on training. We recommend that you look in to where you might be able to earn these hours before enrolling in the course.
Please note: This course is preparation for the HSPA CRCST certification exam; passing a course does not equate to Certification. Please visit HSPA's Website for more information. To see the certification application and other requirements, visit the link here.
